I had never had a Monte Cristo sandwich till we moved to our current town. Chedder's Restaurant serves a GREAT ONE! So I decided to make my own!

Bread (I used French bread sliced thin)
Swiss Cheese
Sliced Ham

This makes up the Sandwich, then you dunk it in the batter:
1 C milk
2 T Flour
2 eggs

Fry the sandwich in vegetable oil till crisp, sprinkle with powdered sugar, and serve with raspberry jam!

We made those a few months ago and I could literally feel my arteries clog just smelling them. It was good but I had to instantly put my stretchy pants on after eating! Lol -Kelsee
